Terms of service

Pilot version, 21 September 2026

These terms cover the Houston pilot. They are deliberately short and will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

1. The service

Refill Me is a platform that lets you schedule and place grocery orders with independent local stores that have joined it, and lets those stores prepare and fulfil your orders. Refill Me is not the seller of the goods. Each order is a purchase from the store you chose, at that store's prices.

2. Your account

You need an account to order. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for orders placed from it. One account per person, and you must be an adult.

3. Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices shown are the store's prices at the moment you order. An order records those prices; later catalogue changes do not affect it.
  • During the pilot you pay the store directly when you collect, by whatever means the store accepts.
  • A refill schedule creates an order automatically on each run date. You can adjust, pause or delete a schedule at any time before it runs.
  • You can cancel an order in the app while its status is still "received". Once the store has confirmed it, contact the store.
  • If an item is out of stock the store may substitute with your agreement or leave it off the order.

4. Pickup and delivery

Pickup is the default. Collect on the date you chose during the store's opening hours. Where a store offers delivery, the arrangement is between you and the store.

5. Points

You earn one point for every whole dollar on a fulfilled order. Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and how they can be redeemed is being defined with the pilot stores. We may change or end the programme, with notice in the app.

6. Stores

Stores are responsible for the accuracy of their catalogue, the quality of the goods, and fulfilling orders they confirm. Complaints about goods go to the store first; we will help if you are stuck.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no false orders, no interfering with the platform, no scraping catalogues, no using another person's account.

8. The pilot

This is a pilot. Features will change, and there may be interruptions. We may end the pilot or your access at any time, and you may stop using it at any time.

9. Liability

Refill Me is provided as is during the pilot. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amounts you paid through it in the previous three months (which during the pilot is nil, since you pay the store).

10. Changes and contact

We will update the date above when these terms change and tell you about material changes in the app. Questions: email us.
